Mixed state microwave resistivity of cuprate superconductors

چکیده
We present a compared experimental investigation of the (a, b) plane vortex-state complex resistivity at 48 GHz in YBa2Cu3O7−δ, SmBa2Cu3O7−δ and Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8+x. In YBa2Cu3O7−δ and SmBa2Cu3O7−δ the field dependence of the response can be consistently described by a combination of flux flow and strong pair breaking due to the presence of lines of nodes in the gap. In Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8+x, by contrast, the data might be described by the pair breaking alone.

Normal-state C-axis Resistivity of the High-tc Cuprate Superconductors
It is shown that a strong intraplanar incoherent scattering can effectively block the interplanar coherent tunneling between the weakly coupled planes of the highly anisotropic but clean (intrinsic) materials such as the optimally doped high-Tc layered cuprate superconductors. The calculated normal-state C-axis resistivity ρc(T ) then follows the metal-like temperature dependence of the ab-plan...

We show that a common feature of temperature-dependent microwave absorption is the presence of absorption peaks. ac loss peaks can arise when the internal T -dependent magnetic relaxation time crosses the measurement frequency. These features are observed in the insulating (SrxCa14−xCu24O41, La5/3Sr1/3NiO4 and Y Ba2Cu3O6.0), pseudo-gap (T > Tc in underdoped Y Ba2Cu3O7−δ , Hg : 1223 and Hg : 120...

متن کاملMicrowave Electrodynamics of the Electron-Doped Cuprate Superconductors Pr2−xCexCuO4−y and Nd2−xCexCuO4−y
The pairing state symmetry of the electron-doped cuprate superconductors is thought to be s-wave in nature, in contrast with their hole-doped counterparts which exhibit a d-wave symmetry. We re-examine this issue based on recent improvements in our electron-doped materials and our measurement techniques. We report microwave cavity perturbation measurements of the temperature dependence of the p...
متن کاملQuantum critical point for stripe order: An organizing principle of cuprate superconductivity
A spin density-wave quantum critical point (QCP) is the central organizing principle of organic, iron-pnictide, heavy-fermion and electron-doped cuprate superconductors. It accounts for the superconducting Tc dome, the non-Fermi-liquid resistivity, and the Fermi-surface reconstruction. Outside the magnetically ordered phase above the QCP, scattering and pairing decrease in parallel as the syste...
